SENIORS CLASS OFFICERS lack Coats, treasurer: Imogene Carroll, secretaryg Kenneth Gregg, vice-presidenty Fred Schlictman, president. Under the leadership of our officers, Fred Schlictman, Kenneth Grogg, Imogene Carroll, and lack Coates, We successfully completed this final year in high school. We chose Miss Bude and Mr. Brasel for our sponsors. By vote of the student body, lohnny Wilson and Patsy Kell were elected student body officers. Our honor students included Edith Sue Barr, Ruth Feldhake, Rebecca Patchin, Iohn Spaeth, and lohn Zinkus. Dorothy Morgan was general chairman of Everygirl's banquet. Mary Lou Cover assisted her as senior chairman. Outstanding in the music department were band members Edith Sue Barr' and Ermogene George, chorus members Melvin Garritson and lack lungers, and pianist Rebecca Patchin. Our flashy drum major Was lack Coates. Bonnie Broeker and Christine Terry Were majorettes. Athletes of our class were Iohnny Wilson, Ierry Wilson, Fred Schlictman, Charles Oland, and Bill Corky Locke. Cheering these boys on Was our veteran cheer leader, lim Tillman. In the field of journalism we had many representatives. Ruth Ann Baker Was editor of the Sphinx annual, assisted by Melba Beckmeyer and Eleanor Brown. Editing the Sphinx newspaper was Bob Heller, assisted by Richard Boston, Phyllis Franke, and others. Our lovely May Queen was Mary Gray, attended by Imogene Carroll and Iacqueline Renner.
