'WF I ,- . t ,. kf. A5 ll M ll C Q, l X 5 Following through with the theme of Four Seasonsf, we introduce our idea of the four seasons drawn by Abbie Wesen. On the left, of course, the falling leaves which mean that we have to tumble back to school in the Fall. At the top are the skiis and skipoles that show us a large number of students are looking forward to snow and the fun it brings to those who like to slide and glide down the slopes of mountains. On the right is probably one of the best liked seasons around What is an annual? An annual is a book of pictures and writings of things that happen throughout the school year. There have been fifty annuals produced during the history of Centralia High school. This annual of the school year for I955-56 is the fifty first. It may be considered en- tirely different than the fifty ahead of it as it is the first to have mounted pictures with a sunk in effect. 'l'his effect is formed by mounting one picture on top of another called a background picture. The four seasons of the year is the theme. Throughout the book there are many back- ground pictures of scenery which are taken from each season of the year and put in a special sec- Centralia high school. The rhododendrons in front of school burst out along with the greenery of the rest of the trees and bushes around school. Last picture is the big time for all seniors--graduation. lt is the time when all of the students Worry about that one class they are having trouble in or how will they ever be able to act like a senior should, etc. With this we hope you will like our annual. Annual Class tion accordingly. Activities that come in the fall are in the fall section, winter activities in the winter section. and the same procedure is follow- ed for spring and summer. Class pictures are somewhat in the same order. Freshmen are in the fall section because they enter school in the fall, sophomores are in the winter section because they have more activities during the winter, jun- iors are in the spring section because their activities are in the spring time and the seniors are in the early summer section because they graduate in the early summer, VVe hope that you, the reader. enjoy this book.
