As we go back over our four years in high school we remember when we first came here as freshmen. The Girls League put on a Big and Little Sister party for the girls and the Boys Club sponsored a Mixer for the boys. Then the annual Freshman Party was held. We also had a Freshman play called The Silver Arrow. In our Sophomore year we held the tradition- al Sophomore Carnival with Freshman as our guests. We also had a skating party which we crowned a King and Queen of Hearts. VVe started the Junior year off with the junior Prom. The theme was Blue Moon. The junior Play, Our Hearts Weise Young and Gay, was the next event. On August 31, l953, we began our final year in high school. The first event was the Senior Play called High Ground? On April 9 the Senior Tea was held for all Senior Mothers at the Presbyterian Church. On April 30 the last big event of the year will be held, The Senior Ball, with the theme, Memories of Paris. Baccalaureate is Sunday night, May 23, l954, at 8:00 The Senior Picnic will be held the following day, Monday, May 24. Graduation is Thursday, May 27, at 8:00 in the Centralia High School. This is both a sad and happy affair as we all realize this is the last school affair we will take part in. Page 2

. -f -'flag ' lf. ,L Y 2 4,4 wg., ff 'U 37:0 x - bereft Mafia fllmic In The All of the students in Centralia High School live in a world of music. As we go through the four years in C.H.S. we just have one big unforgetable time. This world of musical notes begins with the freshman mixer in our first year and ends four years later with our final formal, the Senior Ball. Music spirits us on in school during our classes as well as in our extra curricular work. Of course the music by the band at our football and basketball games spurs our teams to better and bigger things. The marching of the band during half times at football games kept the fans in their seats for the entire performance, as the formations and different march steps keeps the fans watching every minute. We could say that each class in school has its own theme. The Freshman class could sing-along with the seniors- Oh! happy day. The Frosh of course, because they have finally reached high school, and the seniors for grasping their good gradu- ation. Most o fthe Sophomores are singing, 'A-lust One More Chance -as they finally are through their first year in high school. Of course, by this time some of their class- mates have dropped by the wayside. The Juniors-only one reach from their goal feel like A Bird in a Gilded Cagef. These, along with the song hits of today, are being echoed through the halls of our school every day.
