A NEW TOUCH that makes our smiles genuine and our laughter hearty A NEW TOUCH that enables us to appreciate the people around us and to really know how to love them. 4 Opening A NEW TOUCH that gives us the courage to step out and make those impossible dreams come true. 4 A NEW TOUCH that causes us to seek wisdom in- stead of knowledge for life's tough questions. A NEW TOUCH that gives us the strength to walk on when we feel that we cannot possibly take another step. k A NEW TOUCH that allows us to catch a glimpse of tomorrow, but also to bask in the sunlight of today. Warrior pride. My mouth is stuck together with Crazy Glue. This is so boring. 18 HALLOWEEN NIGHT AT CWC Halloween night at CWC is always a time of fun and frolic for all. The evening begins when the girls from the dorm go trick or treating at Childs Hall. The guys are also allowed to seek tricks and treats at the girls' dorm. However, the highlight of the evening is the party itself! Everyone is encouraged to dress up in a costume and enter the contest. The winners of the costume contest receive a pizza for their efforts. 20 Student Life 22 Activities GUILTY OR NOT GUILTY? S.G.A. PRESENTS THE CASE OF HUMANITY VS. PONTIUS PILATE FOLGER AUDITORIUM NOVEMBER 16-17, 1984 7:00 p.m. PRODUCED WITH SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS WITH BAKER PLAYS, INC. A group of C.W.C. students, under the sponsorship of the Student Government Association, presented a very unique production. In this play, Pontius Pilate had his day in court. Pilate attempted to prove his inno- cence in regard to Christ's crucifixion. The courtroom was the setting for the entire play. A jury was chosen from members of the audience. Everyone must decide for himself; was Pilate guilty or not guilty? 24 Activities CHRISTMAS AT CWC The Christmas season is always a special time at CWC; this year was no exception. The highlight of the many activities is the annual Christmas banquet. The beautiful decorations, delicious meal, and interest- ing entertainment all provide a wonderful evening for the student body. 25 โ–  26 Student Life SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS Tommy Burhjnjn โ€” President Angie Davis โ€” Secretary Donni AI bright โ€” Vice President Kelly Dodgen โ€” Treasurer Renee Phaup โ€” S.C.A. Dimt Wood CONGRATULATIONS To The Class Of 1985 Good Luck In The Future! A NEW TOUCH ' T il 'w โ€ข -L Shackled by a heavy burden 'neath a load of guilt and shame. Then the hand of fesus touched me. And now I am no longer the same. He touched me. Oh, He touched me. And, oh, the joy that floods my soul. Something happened and now I know. He touched me and made me whole. Since I met this blessed Sa- viour, since He cleansed and made me whole, I will never cease to praise Him. I'll shout it till eternity rolls. He touched me. Oh, He touched me. And, oh, the joy that floods my soul. Something happened and now I know. He touched me and made me whole. โ€” Bill Gaither Lord, you have assigned me my por- tion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheri- tance. I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I have set the Lord al- ways before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay. You have made known to me the path of life; nor will you let your Holy One see decay. You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. Psalm 16:5-11 146 Closing He satisfies my desires with good things, so that my youth is re- newed like the eagle's. The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel: The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abound- ing in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his an- ger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:5-12 I Closing 147 EDITOR'S COMMENTS This year has definitely been a time of learning and growing for me personally, I was literally terrified at the prospects of becoming the editor of the annual. I felt that I could not possibly match the excellent annual produced by Amy Carver last year. I very reluctantly assumed the position of editor. 1 told the Lord that I needed His strength and help to do this. I dedicated this annual to Him and asked the Lord to put His hand on us as a staff. The Lord has indeed been faithful, as always. 1 have throughly enjoyed being editor this year. Of course, there were always times when things became hectic and everyone ended up staying up all night to meet a deadline. However, those limes demonstrate just how important the task ahead really is. I have been blessed with a dedicated staff and competent advisors. I would especially like to thank Dr. Laura Vinson, Professor Elizabeth Kling, James Gray, Ric Lyon, Lisa Smith, and Reba Revels for their hard work this year. I also want to extend my appreciation to each annual staff member for all they have done to help produce this book. It seems hard to believe that four years have come and gone for me at CWC. The Lord has richly blessed me during my time here at college. The people at CWC are definitely her most precious resource! I have made many deep and meaningful friendships since I came here. I have come to love and respect the professors here. They have done an excellent job in so far as preparing their students for the real world. They have touched my life in many different ways. I will always be grateful for their genuine concern. I know that when I look back upon my life, that my years at CWC will be my fondest memories. Every person associated with this college has a special place in my heart. Thank you for making these four years the best years of my life. In His Service, 148 N ยซ - rfv โ€™ ยซ
