“Preparation in Administration of Mind for Soul for Physical for Social USE THE DAY — Keep forever in view the momentous value of life; aim at its worthiest use — its sublimest end; spurn, with disdain, those foolish trifles and frivolous vcmifies, whic i so often con- sume life, as the locusts did Egypt; and devote yourself, with the ardor of a passion, to attain the most divine improvements of the human soul. In short, hold yourself in preparation to make the transition fo another life, whenever you shall be claimed by the Lord of the world ' —J. Foster

t is with joy that we honor those who have helped direct the progress of Central College to its present attain- ments. Often there ore those who move quietly behind the scenes and prepare the way for those who play great roles on the stage of life. The 1951 Centralion Staff wishes to honor two such friends of our Alma Mater, Mrs. John Front Childs, who spent twelve years working beside her husband, who was president from 1928 to 1940, and her daughter, Ina Louise, who is an alumna of this institution. These have not only given of their friendship, service, and money but have given a husband and father to the cause of Christian education. They are now engaged in activities off the campus, but we still feel their influence, prayers, and pro- found interest in our success. It is with heart-felt esteem and profound gratitude that this volume of the Centra ian is respectfully dedicated.
