Through the years Central College has not had a more devoted, loyal supporter than Miss Ina Gaines, affectionately known to many as Aunt Ina.” At different limes she has served as instructor in voice and piano at the school. At all times she has shared its cares, sorrows, and joys, and has watched over it as a mother over a child. Its griefs have been her griefs; and its successes, her successes. Though not physically able to attend many of the activities of the school, she has, nevertheless, become intimately acquainted with many of the faculty and students; and many a person has gone to her for solace or with requests for advice or spiritual help. Never has one gone who has not come away encouraged because of her under- standing and sympathy and the assurance of her prayers. Through the night, when others were asleep, she held those requesls before God and interceded for individuals. Her life of service has been a con- tinual inspiration and challenge to all who have known her. It is with pleasure, therefore, that we didicate the 1950 CentraZ an to a true friend — MISS INA GAINES.
