RICKMAN, Faculty Advisor j ur ne me Dark clouds of despair and doubt may hover low and shadow the pathways of life, but to those who will open their hearts and let the Light of Life come in, there is a light which shines on our path- way, dispelling the clouds and giving undaunted faith, hope, and courage to face the future with its many problems, knowing that the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” The darkness of night is gathering, presenting to us, as followers of Christ and the spiritual leaders of our church, a stupendous challenge to go out into the darkness and bring the lost into the fold before the shades of night have fallen and it is forever too late. — DEDICATION It is with pride that we look to one of our own and enjoy the realizations of one of us who made good. Dn. Roy S, Nicholson's magnanimous personality has won recognition from the religious and business world as well as from our own church. One outstanding attribute of his life is his unselfish aggressive spirit to promote every phase of the work of the church. It is his strength of character and ability as an administrator that has placed him in the various posi- tions of General Superintendent of W. . P. $.. Connectional Sun- day School Secretary and Editor. Connectional Editor, Connectional Home Missionary Secretary, General Conference President, and one who has received recognition in the publications, Religious Leaders in America and ‘Who's Who in the South and Southwest'. It is with heartfelt gratitude and esteem that this volume of the Centralian is respectfully dedicated. I R Rov S K HOI si IN U e are made more appreciative each day for those who have dedicated themselves to the task of leading young lives into the light of knowledge. It is their love and interest woven into duty that non our confidence and prompted us unconsciously to appreciate their counsel all together in one gigantic effort, they have succeeded in accomplishing the tasks set before them under numerous handi- caps. I ADMINI i J. B. Hilson, A.B., M.A. Vk, resident In spite of the problems which continually accom- pany the task of being president of a school. Presi- dent Hilson finds time to take a personal interest in the students. He is never too busy to stop his work and listen to a problem or encourage a discouraged student. Acknowledging his de- pendence upon a higher Leader, President Hilson un- selfishly gives of his time and labor to the improve ment of the school. i 1 Assisting the president with the business side of the work are Rev. F. B. Williams, bookkeeper; Miss Annette Acree, secretary to the President; and Miss Doris Rampey, stenographer. Si STRATION Lucal Huard ol Managers G. A. Gaines David P. Denton Earl T. Dietitian Studying is a necessary labor, but to the one who has caught the vision and responsibilities of life and has realized the advantage and importance of an education, it is a privilege. Our theological students, earnest and consecrated, have caught the vision and are preparing themselves for more efficient service in the whitened harvest fields. The college students are no less awakened to their need of life which God has planned for them, and they are striving to he “vessels fit for the Master's use. Our academic students, although seemingly carefree, make very definite contributions to W. M. C. both socially and spiritually. We face the future confidently, having learned that “the en- trance of His Word giveth light and that by following this light we cannot fail.
