PRESIDENT ' S MESSAGE ■ Growth and development, the theme of this year ' s Hyakem, tell the story of oor life at Centro) during this, the college s greatest year of expansion. ■ In reviewing our present college year, iost now drawing to a close, we look back upon on exciting period of change. To meet the needs of a constantly growing student body, our college has hod to enlarge and improve in oil areas: physical plant, faculty and staff, services, programs, ond organization. We have finished new buildings, started others ond have our drawing boards filled with plans for more The curriculum hos undergone extensive rev s«on ond many new programs are in the offing. The foculty has been increased in size and has improved in quality. College services have been improved ond new services hove been added. The administrative ond ocademic structure hos been completely revised. ■ Of most importance, however, has been the continued growth of the intellectual aspect of our campus. Students hove given the foculty and administration great assistance in elevating the college to new levels of intellectual maturity This cooperative action and the strengthening of the Student Government Association are, in my estimation, the highlights of our 1962-63 year ■ At the end of this, my second year as president of your college, I om happy to greet the students of Central, to congratulate you on your successful yeor and to look forword with you to exciting days to come in the life of this college.
