Many industries have flourished here and died out because of changing geo- grophicol conditions, but new industries hove grown up in their places. Cool and iron from the Pennsylvania fields have become the foundation of our present mochine-tool industry, but another reason for this greot industrioi machine- tool center can be found in its skilied machine operators and the vision of its business leaders, Just 05 Cincinnoti industry is diversified, 50 must be the field of training for its workers. Here a printer may find work on any of three large doily papers, or in one of the many publishing houses. Here the tool and diemoker, the machinist, or patternmoker may find his work in any one of a score of notionaiiy known firms. Here, too, the electrician is needed in our large pubfic utilities, in our factories, in our building industries, and in the many electrical businesses throughout the city. Here auto mechanics, oviotors, and radio men are in demand. Every building contractor needs skilled woodworkers Central Vocational High School is offering training to the youth of Cincinnati that is in keeping with the high standards of workers that our industries need. Of course, not ail trodes are taught here, but the fundamentals of many are taught in our weII-equipped shops and classrooms. As industry changes and its need for workers become known, we pledge oure seives to try to meet our obligations. Just 05 industry's product is o masterpiece ot workmanship, just so we hope to train the master workman.
