Science Club The Science Club which was quite small, focused on learning scienti- fic concepts. Mrs. Weissberg, advi- sor, helped organize the club and directed it's activities. Buddie McKenzie was the president and Roxanne Wilde, treasurer. This is the second year that the club was really active and they did such ac- tivities as building rockets, they went on a field trip to Jhirmack's and put on a bake sale for their rocket supplies. There were also scientific seminars during which students conducted experiments of scientific importance. The people involved in the club said that it was a learning exper- ience as well as a fun club to be in. 1. Mrs. Weissburg, Adivsor of the Science Club 2. Neither clubs had enough money to make the trip by themselves. One FSA member com- mented the more the marrierf' FSA goes to San Francisco to learn business techniques and to visit bu- sinesses not available in the Shasta County area. FSA held traditional fund raisers such as selling carnations with mes- 94 Organizations sages for Christmas and Valentine's Day and bakesales. Throughout the year they had guest speakers including stenographers, cosmotologists and members of the business community. Advisor, Pat Lal-Imon replaced Marge Tenny when the latter took a leave of absence. FSA officers were Teresa Valdivia, president, Brenda Gehlken, vice- president, Linda Thetford, treasur- erg and Kathy Meier, secretary.
