XJ Robert Rammoser First Male Mascot. ln spring of '80 Kelly Hancock asked Rob- ert Rammoser to try out for mascot with her. It was a daring move for Robert and the student body as a whole to have a male representative on the spirit squad and Robert and Kelly didn't know how it would be received by other schools. Everything went smoothly and Robert said if Enterprise didn't hassel him no one would. Robert expressed his feelings about being mascot saying, I love itg l could do any- thing l wanted out there in front of the crowd and it was great to have my friends there backing me up. 3. The Basketball Spirit Squad Was Cut in Size The Varsity Basketball Spirit Squad changed in number from the traditional five songleaders, four cheerleaders, and two mascots to five yell leaders and two mascots. The change came due to dissension between the cheerleaders and songleaders the previous year. The new position as yell leader required extra time and dedication to perform the song and dance routine for competition at the Harlan Carter and Arcata tourna- ments. Also the same group of five were judged separately as cheerleaders for crowd control, leading yells and execut- ing cheers during time outs and quarters. A general feeling was the need for a bigger squad. 1. Jayvee Cheerleaders, Becky Carlson, Colleen Costa, Robin Roseberg and Lisa Holloway. 2.
