lm 'aprt Sarah Rowley Sarah Rowley was honored by the NAL for all around player. She scored an average of 14 pts. a game. She said, the NAL award is a great honoref' Sarah received a NAL patch and certificate. Sarah said, I would like to thank the whole team and Coach Daily, without them I couldn't have made this award. Sarah enjoyed going to other Named All Nal. schools with the team and meeting new people. She also said, I like to win with a winning team. Sarah has never been named NAL before and she feels very honored. She has been playing basketball for 6 yrs. and enjoys it very much. When asked if she will try to be named NAL next year, she re- plied, It was a surprise this year, but I will do my best always. Tim Blevins Named Out- Standing Business Student. Tim Blevins was awarded a 550.00 sav- ings bond for winning 2nd place in a Northern California competition for best business student. The award was based on experience, recommendations, and G.P.A. Tim is an uncertified accountant for Year Book, handling a 312,000 ac- count. I-Ie also handles business affairs for his family's business. Tim said, I would like to thank Mrs. LaHmon for helping me with my account- ing and representing me in this award. Tim says that he was surprised and hon- ored when he found out that he had made 2nd. Tim plans to go to a training school for accountants. He wants to work for a large business in which he can advance. Tim plans to use his award money on a summer trip to N.Y. 1. She stayed with the Duran family in a town called LLay-LLay, which is not far from the capitol of Santiago, Chile, Her host father in Chile owns a barber shop and her mother owns a bou' tique. She had a younger sister and two younger brothers. Before departure, Jennifer was excited about the trip and said, lt will be a way of proving I can stand on my own two feet. When Jennifer left, she flew to Miami for an orientation on the year of living in a foreign country. She said, L'Living with a different family, and in a different coun- try, would be a good learning exper- ience. i gli
