X jus. in Ms. Hughes Pedalled Through Loire ln 10 years, Ms. Pam Hughes looks forward to retiring and traveling around the world with her husband Paul. Presently she takes a major trip nearly every summer, ln 1980, the couple bicycled through France's Loire Valley. The previous year they studied the architecture of French cathedrals. Mr. and Ms. Hughes often go backpacking and can- oeing locally as well. Favorite spots include the Trinity Alps and Lassen Park. Ms. Hughes has a 25 year old step son named Steve, who is a world traveler and is now in Austraila. She also has a step daugh- ter, Bev, who is 23 years old and is now attending Chico State. Ms. Hughes enjoys being with people, and she feels that C.V. should open up more to the community and reach out. Her feeling is that C.V. is a closely knit school which acts as a family unit. She believes that students at C.V. can attain the best education around if they want to.
