Naturally we have had our share of good times, but we think our most reflective pleasure emanates from the respect won from those about us. Of course, all our time as seniors was not spent in deep meditation-we had some good times and lots of them. No one will ever forget the won- derful Senior Ball that made us, for a moment, part of another romantic world. And we will long appreciate the unselfish labors of Dean Leipham and Glorya Brown in making our Senior Ball so majestically beautiful. Everyone was also pleased with Clark Irwin and Sharon Hill as King and Queen of the gala affair. 'Ihe seniors put forth the old school spirit in backing our athletic teams and they were strong leaders in all school affairs. We were ably represented in ASB and Student Council. Graduation brings feelings half sad, half glad, but cheered we are in facing our limitless opportunities with the confidence and abilities acquired at Central Valley High School. The Happy Hour Dont feed the animals :mica Off ' l Left to right: Rich Shaw, Billie Pope, George Smith, Bobbie jean Smith. As juniors we remember the far removed but hectic days when we were nothing more than poor sophomores constantly at the mercy of the juniors. Now we have attained that elusive status referred to as juniors and after two years of high school, we have had six of our number elected into the Pep Club, and we are equally proud of our representation in the song leading category. ' Directing us through this eventful year were George Smith, Presidentg Rich Shaw, Vice Presidentg Bobbie jean Smith, Secrctaryg Billie Pope, Treasurer. These four did much to inspire the enthusiasm and school spirit which has characterized the class of '54 throughout this year of conquest Qconquest of West Valleyj. Standing on the threshold of our Seniorify, we herewith voice our ambition to become a senior class with undiminishing ideals. We would like to be a clss remem- bered for our loyalty and pride in Central Valley High School. As the class of '54, we wish to be remembered for our records in citizenship, sportsmanship, and scholarship. ,glib . ,fy f-0 'U'1u4AT1q,s :lj W 9 B xl' 1 O as C qi K .. The Thespians displayed their usual talent in presenting the Christmas play Hallowed Be Thy Name. The unique stage setting was designed by Mr. Robert Chenier who also wrote the play. The cast included Esther Marshall as Ettie Milford, Charlotte Kellmer as Mrs. Wilmot, Donna Sullivan as the Virgin, Marlene Ranniger as Mrs. Penrose, Don Perry as the soldier, Deanna Diederich as Miss Foster, Maureen Sullivan as Ann, jim Bennett as the Minister, and Sharon Mueller as Mrs. Mason. The scene was Christmas Eve in a little church in the Middle West where people came to offer their prayers. Parts were seriously portrayed and applause indicated that again Thespians had reason to be proud. - .... ,e. X cz 1 A. X x o S ni? lx 2455 Wa' C. .
