Kids create yearbook, pape The journalism class was the group that worked on the monthly papers and the annual year- book. The sponsor was Miss Sharyn Ballard. The editor of the Centralian was Me- lissa Boyd and the ed- itor of the Cub was Linda Marquez. Before school be- gan in August the journalism staff worked busily sell- ing ads to finance the newspaper. They worked hard to meet five deadlines for the Cub and to pub- lish eight issues of the Centralian during the year. 1- Linda Marquez served as editor of the CEB. 2- The 1977-78 JOURNALISM STAFF: Cfront rowj Tammy Vestal, Steve Osburn, Albert Avila, 62nd rowl Shari Meeks, JeNean Terhune, Linda Mar- quez, Dixie Jennings, Mary Michalski, Kim Kenski. 13rd rowl Shelley Kaiser, Melissa Boyd, Mickey Sands, Cindy Scherzer, John Tramble, Rob Sedorcek, Robbie Belz, Vicki Weber, Cheryl Mathia, Stacie Jenkins. 3- Cheryl Mathia watches Kim Kenski as she types, hard at work. 4- Miss Sharyn Ballard, adviser, smiles for the camera as Steve Osburn stud- ies yearbook pictures. 5- Working hard on the year- book is Melissa Boyd, editor of the CENTRALIAN, and Shari Meeks. 23
