'Trust - In the final analysis Central State Teachers College must be judged by its product The standing and worth of this institution depend entirely upon the kind of teaching you do after leaving here. If you teach fand practice? truth, honesty, belief, enthusiasm, and growth, the public will have faith in us. If you do a slovenly job of teaching, if you are not the best teacher you can possibly be, Central will be the loser as well as yourself. We are glad that this is so. We believe in you. We feel that you will do your level best every day and every way. It is a wonderful profession into which you are entering. You will deal with precious boys and girls. Yours will be the opportunity and the responsibility to shape and guide their growth into worthwhile manhood and womanhood. You will teach as much by what you are as by what you do. That is why we are content to have our fate left in your hands. We know you will be among our many teachers who make goodf' , Cordially and sincerely yours, . 'f-11:.- . . Il 0 ,I ' PRESIDENT E. C. WARRINER A. B., A. M., M. Pd. A ma Mater Alma Mater-foster mother. Alumnus-foster son. Alumna-foster daughter! Beautiful words to express a beautiful relationship. Alma mater has the same loving interest in her sons and daughters as has .the natural mother. Alma mater rejoices in every success of her children and sympathizes in every misfortune. Every alumnus too swells with pride at every triumph of alma mater, at every forward step, at every new honor. Alma mater is looking always for ways of serving her sons and daughters in the field. Addresses, books, information, encouragement of all kinds are theirs for the ask- ing-and what does alma mater expect of alumni? Good will and loyal love shown in appreciative words and acts, not so often to those on the campus as to young people who are looking ahead to choose their foster mother. Many who read this Chippewa are ending now their close association with alma mater. But as you leave our halls, perhaps forever, may thoughts of your life here come back to us over miles and years, and may you come back both in your own person and in the lives of those whom you send us year after year to take your places here. 9 jflf 01141110 i .Ql iias B-iW hi-- ' ' 11:---9 ' ' -' .. , .- .-,tax 2 - 'N Vg 'U f 1 Y 1
