■ m.W Dedication Mrs. 6 Mrs. C. is the kind of person everyone knows — the freshmen see her scurrying across campus and wonder, but not for long, for soon they know — that ' s Mrs. C, their friend. Elizabeth Arnold Cutler began teaching at Central in 1960. She was graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marietta College, Marietta, Ohio, was Phi Beta Kappa her junior year, and was valedictorian of her class. Mrs. Cutler earned her Master of Arts degree from Ohio University, Akron, Ohio. The office around the corner — the one just behind the John is nearly always full. Students flock in for advice, counseling, or interesting conversation. On weekends or research days, Mrs. C. can be found at home in the depressed area. Both her living room and her conversation are enriched by items gleaned from extensive world travels. There is never a problem too small, nor an event too petty that Mrs. C. does not show concern. Students leave her presence with a higher self-image, a happier outlook, and a respect for a charming lady. Because of Mrs. C, the students of Central Methodist College pledge to quit biting their fingernails, chewing gum, and wearing sweatshirts. For your love of knowledge — your interest in the world — and your concern for us — we thank you, Mrs. C!

Sometimes at night, if you ' re very quiet, you can hear a rustling in the trees, as if the leaves are echoing the thoughts of many students of today and of years gone by... We walked hand in hand through the chill of the autumn night and the warmth of college years spent protected us. We walked hand in hand through the chill of the autumn night and the signs of approaching winter frosted the trees. We walked CMC, you and I, and happiness and sadness were our companions through the halls of the house of knowledge. Signs are everywhere — and here , on the following pages are signs of this time.
