FIRST ROW Tunks Bowman Wilson : , , ' , Summers, Dr. Gaddis. SECOND ROW: Bumside. Yeoman, Bradley, Evans, Downing. Shields, Dietrich, Iohnsen. Student, Council c The Student Council rolled along to more and better things in the 1953-1954 school year. President Glenn Bowman led the way, aided and encouraged by the student body advisor, Dr. M. E. Gaddisg vice- president, Don Tunks: secretary, Maudell Summers: treasurer, Bob Wilson: class representatives and the executive committee. Freshman orientation was run smoothly all the way from the tea at the PresidenT's house to the square dance at the Eyrie. Homecoming this year was very well organized and was considered one of the best. Another of the highlights of the year was The Schmoe Show which was very successful. Other achievements included a well-received Christmas dance, a new way of selecting cheerleaders, the buy- ing ot intramural awards, an all-school barbecue, and also the financing of the Collegian and the Ragout. The Student Council has tried to boost unity among students here on campus. V '
