Lieutenant Ball, Commanding Officer of the V-12 Unit from July 1943 until February, 1945, left at that time for duty as a rating officer at the Navy Pier in Chicago. He is a sincere, hardworking officer, and a friendly, helpful gentleman Whose Christian attitude toward affairs at Central will not soon be forgotten.
