Hundreds of pupils will attest that she is an excellent musician, hut when they speak of her it is more of a friendly instructor they talk, not ofa nation- ally famous composer and pianist. Working at tl1e present time on several new compositions for piano, Dean Wlright is hack at her studio after a prolonged illness. A high spot on tl1e conservatory recital program each year is the duo-presentation of Miss Wright and her competent assistant, Miss Hayes. The dean's anxiety over promising students has sent many negligent pupils home fired with ambition for imitation. Page Z1
