HELEN REEVE, Class Advisor AT LEFT: FIRST SEMESTER SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS PLANNED THE GROUND WORK FOR THE SENIOR BALL. Judy Wheeler, secretary-treasurer, discusses the plans with Jon Kvinsland, Dick Mayfield, Ray Hepworth, and Larry Gorman, president. BELOW: SECOND SEMESTER SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS OBSERVE THE COUGAR CALENDAR AS THE YEAR WHIZZES BY. Judy Wheeler, secretary, points out an event to Dave Aldrich, vice- president, and Bill McLaren, president. The last graduating class of Central Kitsap Junior-Senior high school leaves its echoes in the halls of its Alma Mater. When the class first stepped from the position of the big little kids of iunior high to the little big kids of senior high, Paul Rassmussen and Kenny Sleasman led them as sophomore presidents, first and second semesters, respectively. Mr. Hendrickson was the advisor. The sopho- more Cast, who presented The Blue Teapot won the Thespian One-Act Play Tournament trophy. Dramatists also participated in a new Thespian activity, the Sophomore Theatre. Kenny Sleasman and Ned Jenne headed the iunior year activities, including the traditional selection of class rings. The class broke in a new teacher, Mr. Nelsen, as their advisor. Buy Jupiter, the junior play, was a hilarious success and the class again won the top award in the Thespian One-Act Play Tournament with their production, The Running Tide. The tro p i c al setting of Leilani Garden attracted many to the junior prom. Larry Gorman and Bill McLaren led the senior class activities with the guidance of Mrs. Reeve. The year began, for many classmen, with college entrance and civil service exams. In the winter, the seniors presented the Christmas Ball in a setting of evergreens and snow. Thirty years of life elapsed in two dramatic hours of acting when the seniors produced The House Beautiful. Scor- ing again, a cast of seniors fall-star Thespiansl earned superior rating for The Farce of the Worthy Master, Pierre Pa'teIin in the Thespian One-Act Theatre. This year, instead of the usual Top Ten, twelve seniors who had 3.5 grade averages or better were honored. After three memorable years, the class of I959 faces a new world of unlimited possibilities and responsibilities. The play was a story of their house which was founded on love, sacrifice, and honesty. As the couple sat planning their home, the theater could see the structure erected even as the furniture was brought in and placed without interrupting the lines. The couple had to fight for love and beauty and in the last scene the audience viewed a house that would remain a beautiful memory even without Archie Davis. r After dancing in a seiting of fir boughs, King of The senior ball, Ray Hepworth and Queen, Sandra Aardahl, are seated in the snow-covered sleigh. 1 .. 5 X Q Q5N! ibFKm WGS?
