FOREWGRD MAKE MINE COUNTRY STYLE, the theme of our 1957 ECHO, indi- cates the pride that Central Kitsap students have in being a part of a country school. The activities and interests shared by the faculty and students provide a wonderful friendly atmosphere. These encourage mutual respect and un- derstanding. At informal gatherings, some of which are held at teachers homes, faculty and students become better acquainted. Picnics provide the opportunity for faculty, as well as the students, to enjoy playing a game of baseball or taking a swim together. Students, also, have the fun of 'becoming acquainted with most of the members of the student body. lnformality in classes provide the chance to become friends in working and studying together. Cooperative efforts in student government and athletics bring us closely together. Activities and parties are attended in numbers which make it possible for all to become better acquainted. It is this closely knit, friendly relationship between student and student and between student and teacher which makes us happy and proud to be members of Central Kitsap Junior-Senior High School-just as it is,- COUNTRY STYLE.

DEDICATION One of the outstanding features of our country school is its friendly atmos- phere. It takes friendly, interested teachers to help develop this spirit in a school. Central Kitsap has just these teachers and to them we dedicate our 1957 ECHO. We take this opportunity to thank our faculty for their personal interest in us. We appreciate their patience and understanding. The teaching staff at Central Kitsap is not just a list of names to us, but a group of friendly, capable, instructors and leaders whom we admire. It is our good fortune that they also choose their school, country style.
