STERNEMAN Secretory to Mr. Jenne U 0 m ' J PRlNCIPAL'S ADDRESS It loolcs so easy-The expert truclcdrivers, the great pianist or the star athlete all do their specialty with apparent ease. But there were hours of practice and years of experience that malce it appear simple. Do we accept our American heritage without being aware of the vigorous struggles that gave it to us-and the continued effort required to preserve it. Do we appreciate our American freedom, our rights and our privileges? They were bought with a 'fearful price. Foreign visitors express amazement at our seeming indifference or laclc of understanding. In a few short years Central Kitsap students will be voting citizens. lt will be your responsibility to hand on to future generations their freedoms. This we can do with an intelligent vote and an alertness that good government does not come easily. Eternal vigilance is the price of Freedom. SILER AUTO PARTS INC, 606 Park s Being of sound mind and body the senior class of 1952 hereby wills the seniors of next year the following items: E Bud Curtis leaves his smile and his toothpaste to Chuck Snedicor. Marilyn Ferch leaves her position as Homecoming Queen to Bob Lansworth. Margorie,Byam leaves all her exciting moods to LeRoy Bowman and Dale Nicholas. LeRoy Bartlett hopes that Rosemary Carroll will take good care of the office of Student Body President. The nickname of Big Bad Bill is gladly given to Annette Brillon .by Bill Kaster. Pete Grahn gives himself to Bonnie Olund and Paula Crandall . .V . a partnership, girls. To Bonnie Kae Ferguson goes the one thing she lacks . . . Nancy Mey's earrings. Bob Lee gives back the name of Schlehuber to Jerry . . . He got it last year. Phyllis Carman presents her affection for old CK to Burt Olsen. No skipping now. Gordon Hanson gives his Vaseline Hair-tonic to Carol Towne. She hates to part with it, but Joanne Darling bequeaths her blond hair to Barbara Owens. Donna Hoppe hands her arguments over to Joe Balter. . . Now you can debate, Joe. Karl Ambler gets Warren Lewis' long stay at good ol' CK. Cecil Olund gives his membership in Alcoholics Anonymous to Mike Kestner and Joan Ross. Alma Boyer and Bob Pearson receive Doris Nelson's laugh. Jean Balcom and Don Remington get Paul Anderson's height. Duane Deno wills his invidious intelligence to Phyllis Stevens. Mac Gillard is honored with-the position of president of FFA, the office being handed over to him by Ken Avery. Elden Kemp presents all his wolfishness to Dave Johnson . .. he has all the girls he wants. Pat Bridgman wills Merrilee Stever the position as head of CK Club. Jerry Orwiler leaves his pitching ability to Teg Reeve, who's good in basketball. Georgiann Holland is the lucky gal who gets Sally McCracken's cheerleading spot. Terry McCann leaves to Arlen Wilson the safe care of Margaret Nelson. Alice Coryell leaves the coke machine, which she ehnpties every day, to Ray Meyer, who fills it. Bobbie Mahrt gets iust what she needs-Jock Hcnve's good looks. Hey, Jerry Maryott, you get Kathy Frender's hulalzlance. Lila Dormaier gives her brother to Shirley Theis. Dot Lippert wills all her high heels to Jerry Bell . . . he needs them worse, Bill Lacy sorrowfully gives his ability to not come to school and still get the grades that he does, to Frank Anderson, who we know can use the gift. Helen Morelock presents those cute dimples to Jerry Hermanson, so he can captivate more girls. Leaving behind him, to Ramona Mentor and Shirley Stevens, is Darrel Emel's ability to vanish from class without being detected. Ray Berge sadly leaves behind Tobacco Road to June Kilgore, who we hope enioys it as Ray did. He also leaves his cat-naps in classes to Paul Reeser. The athletic ability of Glen Pearson goes to Bev Moldenhauer. Gail Johnson's shyness goes to Margaret Jones and Joe Drinnon. The clarinet playing of Gracie Olson goes to Lorna Johnson and Joyce Tyler. All of Jim Haiak's big affairs to Donna Kyle go. Joe Mentor's privilege of signing school checks goes to Verla DeGuire. Because the iob of managing the Student Body President is a big one, Margaret Noble gives it to BOTH Marilyn Johnson and Lois Sperling. Although Ralph Bower has used his razor, he found he had not shaved off any whiskers either time, so without changing the blade, he gives it to Tom Tuttle. Mike Best gets Pat Kennedy's car so that he can go see Juva more often. Pat felt sorry for the separated iovers. Shirley Maine's accordion goes to Rovella Holman and Clyde Dickinson. Maybe they'll make a team of it. Ron and Don Tilley are willed Pat Cramer's loose-iointedness. And to Carol Romstad goes Lee Dodge's faithfulness in Paddle Squad. To Jeanette Ross is given all the unpopped pop corn in the concession room by Beverly Minch. Mike Collings and John Cameron receive all of Gloria Owen's book reports. We're sure they'll pass now. To Dick Johnson, Harold Dahl wills his low-slung ieans. That's a real keepsake, Dick. Bob Storey wills his theatrical talent to Jerry Nelson and Jerry Nelson. 3 . 1 Y i, 1 if 1 In gg T Phone 3-9577 J. C. PENNEY CO. Pacific and Burwell The horse of Margaret Pierce is left with regret to Shirley Knight. Now you lucky girl, you can become an equestrienne Cwhatever that isl. From the class of English IV goes a purple heart to Mildred McMaster for being the only iunior in the class. Barbara Wood's distinctive voice is given with much regard to LeRoy Nordby. Alex Ramirez doesn't want to part with the Science Club, but since he has to, Shirley Erickson is the lucky girl. Marilyn Raatz leaves her acting to Jeanne Taylor. Barbara Zimmerer's name on the list of Ten Best Dressed is left to Glenn Harris, The South American look of John Robertson is now added to lleen Pohrmann. Two of next year's entertainers will be Tom Studeman and Paul Sulonen because Sonya Skagen is thoughtfully leaving the Charleston to them. We hope that Gilda Green really appreciates Charlie Ruiz's sailor pants. They might iust fit. Then again . . .? Although she doesn't need it, Carris Young is leaving his steady school attendance to Janice Marvin. Sue Whitaker leaves her singing voice to Jackie Cramer. Treat it nicely, Jackie. Merrily McCann is receiving Mary Ross' efficiency: Nick Reeve wants George Werner to carry on for him in his position as cheerleader. Marilyn Romstad bestows and bequeaths her freckles to Juanita McAnnally. Jim Turner receives Paul Reddicks' ability to win the hearts of iunior hi girls. The school will miss him, but Royden Periot leaves his position as ianitor to Fred Zdenek and Billy Joyce. With two of them doing it, they won't have to work as hard as Royden did. Ed Singer leaves his famous and daring quarterback sneak to Jerry Quimby. Kay Smith leaves her delicate hand writing to Fred Sunkel. Read it now, Fred? Dorthea Voellger and Margaret Pierce leave their friendship to Bud Scott and Larry Smith, hop- ing that theirs will last as long. Kim Reeve would leave something to someone, but he could not find anyone to take anything that he has. Mary Lou Sampson wishes to divide her sweater collection equally between Bonnie Bartlett and Mary Lou Karkainen in hopes that they will remember her. Since Royal Robinson has an over-abundance, he wishes to distribute tolo dates to Jack Brown- ing, Sherman Evanson, and Russel Fairfield. Carole Smith leaves her ability to get A grades from Mrs. Southworth, to Muriel Goucher and Eddie Barnett. Because Clothes Make the Man , Vern Voellger leaves his way of wearing them to Dave Hess. Marion Steinman receives Warren Pugh's kissable lips. Lucky Don! Marna Dahl's vitality is willed to Virginia Brooks. Joan Best leaves her life-saving badge to John Flieder. lt might come in handy, sometime. Those salmon of Floyd Fitzwater's go to Dave Wester and Mary Pickett. Charlotte Cain leaves her rosy cheeks to Don Summers. Jerry Woodard is the lucky receiver of Norman Walthall's nickname. Ask him what it is, Jerry. Ralph Bower's position as Miss Heartburn goes to Ron Jackson. That's what you get for taking psychology. All the seniors in the band leave their grades to Maurice Maeirt. What a collection of D's Maurice will have. Bob Paulsen can have anything he wants from the senior class. There's lots to choose from, Bob, so think carefully.
