Senior History We came we saw and we were scared to death we were the class of 46 but the year was l942 and though we hate to admit it we were freshmen What memories that year holds and some of us still bear the scars Bow mg to and carrying books for our superiors learning to speak only when spoken to and elect1ng bashful Herb Bartlett and t1m1d Charlie Maxwell as our presidents Cany resemblance to any C K H senior is simply impossible D Among our achievements we captured last place in the Curtis Magazine Drive an honor only we could obtain 1943 We outgrew the book carrying stage and began to snub freshmen the reason? We the class of 46 were sophomores We rated an assembly featu ing sophomore talent sophomores ere seen in the All School Play the Honor Soclety Pep Club Lettermen s Club and Masquers The upperclassmen began to take notice we were slowly walking away with their limelight With all these accomplishments we became 1un1ors We were selected the most enterprising junior class ever to come to C K H Cselected by the en terpnsing 3un1ors that tsl Our leading men this year were lerry Sproat and Iunior Class production Thumbs Up a three act comedy directed by Hart Smith During the March of Dimes Campaign we presented an original as sembly from which we obtained a sizeable fund for the drive Our outstand ing success of the year was the Iunior Prom featuring a Hawaiian theme l946 We had arnved seniors at lastl An excursion to Victoria in the time honored tradition sen1or rings exchanging pictures graduation Jitters and all that goes with being a senior Yes we came a long way for that diploma Frightened freshmen not so certain sophomores enterprising Juniors and seniors And in a few minutes 1t s all over no longer a bunch of high school kids but adults Are we glad to graduate to be on our own?
