The boat club was not started until last semester therefore it has not accom- plished very much since then. VVork has been started on a scale model of seventy six foot cruiser on which some of the members are making pretty good progress and hope to finish before the end. The work is a little hard for some members but VVayne and Howard Baker are helping them along. T he club hopes to make a dictionary of nautical terms. Ross ' The object of this club is to promote greater understanding of other people of other nations. That we may have a clearer understanding of their customs, habits and industries and pleasures. If we know about people of other countries there will be more sympathy between people of different races and different countries. There will he less need of international peace conferences. It will save the great cost of having such affairs as the disarmament conferences in London. - VV e held a picnic at the river bottom and everyone said it was very enjoyable. This took place under our efficient officers of the first semester. They were: Louise Sherritt, president. and Henry Sevaly, secretary and treasurer. . KENNETH PONVELL.
