BROOKS, Miss BICSVVEENEY The Student Body Council is the executive body of the students. It is com- posed of seven members who are chosen by popular vote by the students at the end of each year for the following year. A meeting is held every Tuesday during the club period with Bruce Button, president, presiding. It is t.he duty of the Council to try to Bud solutions to the more important school problems. It is also the duty to support all school enter- prises such as parties, movies, plays, and all other affairs that are sponsored by the school or the P. T. A. The council has directed .the campaign to swell the school radio fund by having candy sales and other activities. The council chooses the members of the Discipline Board and the candidates for next year's Council. The C0l11lCll this year has done its best to fulfill these re- quirements and the Council members wish to thank the faculty and the Student Body for the splendid cooperation they have shown throughout the year. Respectfully submitted, LUCY KIM CJHS Discipline Board PI'6Sld6l1t'-JOSEPHINE NICCLASKEY Secretary-FRIEDA NOLLER Q One of the important organizations of the school is the Discipline Board, made up of ltlaxine Thuresson, lNIary Ann Peters, Frieda Noller, Jospehine lNIcClaskey, Robert Horton, VVayne Rood, and Howard Geib. These members are chosen by the Student Council. Their duties are to pick out and place the Student Police and to oversee their work while they are on duty. A Board of teachers consisting of hir. Gold, lVIr. Dodds, Bliss Hazel Jones, Miss E. Ross and Mr. Hoyt meet with the Student Board and the Student Police Club period Monday. These people are generally responsible for the discipline of the school. CJHS Red Caps N o account of the activities of the school would be complete without honorable mention of the Red Caps. hlornings and evenings five days a week, four weeks to a month, six boys have directed the traffic, pedestrian and auto, most skillfully. This is directly under the control of Mr. Dodds who has six assistants chosen from the student body. Those on duty now are 'Harold Hicks, Waldo Wimpress, Terry Spillman, Wayne Rood, Gaylord Field and Jimmy Jones. Two others who have served during this year are Merle Harris and Albert IMoore. ' The support given by the police department, and the cooperation of the pupils has been most gratifying. . '

TVIONDON This club was organized for the purpose of promoting interest in art.. The main work this year has been in making pleated lamp shades from envelopelinings and costume design booklets. Edylene Simms and Mary Hamm have done exceptionally good work. The ofiicers at t.he first of the year were president, Edith Cornelius, vice presi- dent., Dolly Smithg secretary and treasurer, Ruby Frank Jones. A. and helping out with the art exhibit. c V At the first of the year our president was Verna Christenson, our vice president, Frances hiillar and our secretary and treasurer, Ileen lilarshall. ' Help with the art. exhibit was given by Edna Bedford, and others who worked on committees are Dorothy Griffith, Maxine Dunn, Beulah hlason, Dorothy Hobbs, June Early, Dorothy Bouchey and Henrietta Seawell. ' VVe have had one social function this year that was a Hallowe'en party in the old Ellis place on North Orange Street. -----Q cms Boys' Art Club President-DAVID CORNWELL Vice president-MELVIN ELLIS Secretary-t.reasurer-FRANK CHARLTON Advisor-Miss MoNDoN YVe organized this club as a place to make art projects, or projects of any kind, posters, and to make house plans. Forrest. Fowler has devoted this year to drawing houses and rooms and has accomplished some very good work. Woonha Park has also done some outstanding work.
