' . VVe learned good manners at the several parties at the YVomen's Club House and now we are well versed in the art. of making whoopee. VVe tried the stunt of electing ofhcers and came out all right, electing: i President-ANNABETH ORMISTON Vice president-MARY LOUISE CASEY Secretary-BEN NIILLIKEN Social chairman-DWIGHT VELZY Cheer leader-+RoNALD SWART g , These and other candidates that had been nominated by ar nominating com- mittee were introduced at t.he seventh grade party in the auditorium after School. Refreshments were served in the cafeteria afterwards. Nearly all the teachers have been more or less responsible for us. Social Science, English, Mathematics, Science, Music, lllechanical Drawing or Art and Shop or Home Economics are subjects we have taken. VVe a.lso had Guidance and Hygiene. Our candy sale sunk the ninth grade's first one, and came close to the eighth grade's record. Our assembly was the second longest one this year. Altogether we have had a whooping year in spite of Clara Hunter's cold water in FLASHES jokes and hope to keep our reputation next year. Some of us who have given much help to our reputation are: Sam Reno and Tommy Kenna, athletics, Chester Knoll, model airplane, Mary Louise Casey, Drama Club show, our class officers, serviceg Ben Milliken, Glee Club and operettag Leaders Clubsj tough marching. We hope the other fifty students who should have been on this list will realize we don't know everyone and if they don't like it they can write their own name in after they get their TOWER.
