THE TOWER, 1930 Prophecy About a week ago I went into the Casino of Agua Caliente and who should I End but a large number of the old gang who went to Central in ,30. The first person I recognized, despite the villainish looking mustache, was Bill Peterson. He sauntered over with a small blonde girl tripping behind him. lily girl friend, U was his only explanation. He walked around a bit and stopped to look at the cabaret. To my intense surprise Russella Halverson, Sally Kline and Thesba Hill were dancing. Stuart LaBonde and Percy Carter were part of the snappy fifteen piece orchestra. Just then the head waiter was called on for a song and dance. To my utter astonish- ment the original Dick Vail! I looked over to the corner and sa.w Roselle Fulmor surrounded by half a dozen squawking youngsters. I wondered why she was there but I soon learned that she had married the manager, Bob Hogue. Later we drove to an ocean side resort that had been started by Harryet Cole, Clara Hunter, Charline Yeager and other members of the famous UD Carpedian Club because they were so fond of swimming. They fed us the latest gossip about some of the rest of the members of '30. ' ' Jane Patton is mistress of an elite kindergarten in New York. Elizabeth Stearns and Joe Boody recently completed a film production, The First Kiss. U ' Josephine lNIcClaskey and lllabel Slaughter are prohibition agents on the Can- adian lJOI'll6l'. Virginia VVilliams is married and is happily fill settled in a two room flat with a half a dozen caliopes',. hlaxine Thuresson is a very dignified house mother of a frat house at Yale. Tudor VVall is, by the way, still trying to struggle through Yale and, incidentally belongs to the aforesaid frat. Phil Ranch is a big butter and egg man in New York, big cigar, derby hat and everything. Jane Hunckler and Elmo Schott are doing a lNIaggie a11d Jiggsn act on Broad- way in New York. There is quite a bit of singing a.nd dancing in the act. Albert Hirst is doing soap carvings of the great men of the day, namely, President of the United States, Bruce Button fhow strangejg vice president of the United States, Keith lNIason: president of the society of Lunatics, Eddie VVelles: the biggest financier 011 VVall Street, Howard Geib, and others. Frieda N oller and Aleen Ballon are doing a Siamese Twin act on Broadway. They are pulling down millions by playing Big Time. U Gertrude Grant is ringing out change in a three and four cent store in the vast metropolis of Casa Blanca. Jules Covey is the manager of the st.ore. Sally Mc- Bride and June Clark a.re clerking there, too. Of course, they have the cosmetic department. Howard Johnston is alternately jerking sodas, playing the sa.w, a.nd playing Lord James in Reno. CThe Lord James part is to monopolize all the divorceesj. He is good at it, due to the training he had at Central. Maxine McGarry and Barbara Henderson own a confectionery store in Holly- woodg the slogan is Sweets for the Stars. Theo Warner is the president of the W. C. T. U. Under her expert management it is flourishing unbelievably. It must be a gift. fContinned on page 59D

' Eighth grade requirements are Social Science, English, Physical Education, Blathematics, Commercial, Science, Electives are Latin, Music, Spanish, Mechani- cal Drawing, Shop, Foods, Clothing and Glee Club.
