Central Junlor's 33rd Annual Reflector ssiiviciz SQUAD Central's Service Squad is composed of the best students in the school. Their duty is to keep the halls in an orderly procedure. Mrs. Klempnow is in charge. Our Service Squad Captains are Louis Cast- ellanos and Eugene Hand. First floor lieutenants are Dace Lusis and DainaSeklinsg second floor, Ann Muellervveiss, and Billie Dee Lofbackg third floor, Holly Manning and Jackie Chamberlain, shop, Ken Svrcina and Thomas Hain. Our Service Squad did a fine job this year. OFFICE HELP The office helpers are selected from the ninth grade. They run errands, answer the telephone do simple filing, and odd jobs in 106 and 108. They are, Martha Kemper, Carol Hubbell, Kay Descho, Ernestin Bothuel, Carol Burr, Gail Ahlert, Judy Schnetzler, Bet- te McCullan, Katherine Schaffer, Diana Sek- Iins, Sharon Gilmore, Judy Randall, Nancy Henning, Julie Evans Ruth Ann Schoults, Clarence Stokes, Erlene Hall, Pat Habina. Noon Duty Service Squad At Central, besides our regular service squad , we have a morning and two noon duty squads. These people give up a part of their lunch hour to help keep the halls cleared, keep students out of the courts and keep order in the auditorium and cafeteria. The morning duty squad keeps students out of the building until the proper time. Mr. McMullin is in charge of the morning duty squad. The squad includes: Steve Ar- meros, Dick Galmer, Tom Hain, Tom Ham- montre, Barbara Henderson, Florence Hen- derson, James Kuk, Dennis Lichon, Don Li- chon, John Livingston, Nelson Loranger, Louise McDaniel, George Snyder, Dan Scott, Joe Wisniewski. Mr. Schroeder is in charge of the 4th hour noon duty squad. Members are: Bob Cottrell, Marcia Dill, Ashley Compau, Essie Lane, Thelma Jones, Barbara Henderson, Freddy Dickson, Judy Shimel, Pearl Kelly, Jean Snead, Johannie Conway, Pat O'Connor, Elizabeth Powell, Dick Allen, Warren Steiner, Jerry Reittenbach, Faye Harrison, Kathy Shaffert,HerbertDelgado,DaveBuzzee,Daniel Scott, Harold Brown, LavinaManchester, Faye Sebold, Elinor Claytor, Bob McCormick, R. A. Stephens and Judy Butcher. Miss Lundbom is in charge of the 5th hour noon duty squad. The members are, Douglas Anderson, Dennis Lichon, Roger Lewis, Linda Pelayo, Shirley Sparks, Bobby Parker, Ron ald Roeser, Peggy Brandley, Steve Armeros, Gary Wurtz, Beverly Strudgeon, Greg Barris. Audrey Swiss, Jerry Schafer, Wayne Vilas- cavage, Booker Washington. Walter L. Nor- man, James Jackson, Ken Kowalski, Tracy Presley, F. Norman, Barbara Hillier, John Livingston and Ronald Weinert. Mr. Watkins and Mr. Goodenow also help in the halls and cafeteria during noon hour. CENTRA L'S MAJOR ETTES Central's majorettes, under the expert dir- ection of Mr. Mathews, have done a very nice job this year. These girls practiced very hard after school to gain precision timing. They have marched in several parades and made Central very proud of them. Girls who wish to be maj oret tes should know some thing about the art of twirling a baton and bewilling to practice many hours after school. This year the head majorette is Jackie Chamberlain and the majorettes are: Mary Boyer, Bette McClellan, Beverly Brinkman, Sue Cherry and Carol Gardner. Nice job girls.

Central Junlon-'s 33rd Annual Reflector CENTRAIPS URCHESTRA We are proud to have an orchestra at Central under the leadership of Mrs. Mary Carlson. All ofthe students strived earnestly during 1955 and 1956 to form a good orc- hestra and they all deserve a good pat on the back for it. The students play frequently for P.T.A., schools, concerts, and have a Spring Festival every year. We would like to thank all of them. The orchestra members are, Leo Borrello, Nancy Gregory, Janice Haefele, Herbert Han- sen, John Luebkert, Allen Maris, Melcha Millar, Gwendolyn Pruiett, Douglas Anderson lndilus Ansevics, Richard Banks, John Ferg- uson, Marie Hetzner, Connie Hunt, Gerald Horn, Walter Kuhlman, Janis Janson, lndu- lis Judzis, Victoria Mares, Callie McAfee, Pat Smith, Gary Sterling, Jean Sutters and Gene White. CENTRAUS Y-TEENS Central's Y- Teens meet once each month at the Y.W.C.A.with otherJunior High Y Teens. Some of their activities were, a Get Acquainted Party and a Recognition Service during the month of September, a Christmas party inDecember,in January they had a swim- ming party at the Y.M.C.A., on February 24, they held a Leap Year Dance and they had a hayride in March. Some of Centralls Y-Teen members are Dianne Barnes, Patricia Campell, Patricia Clymer, Hope Cryz, Sonia Green, Luddie Jackson, Carolyn Johnson, Maxine Jolis, Louise Lanier, Sue Nelson, Jane Rosier and Gail McCloud. CENTRAIRS IJBRABY STAFF By Sharon Drouillard To some pupils of Central our library may seem to be a rather gloomy forest but with the help of Miss Schindler and her crew, much light can be found. Miss Schindler is in charge of the library. Her helpers are Geraldine Gilkison, Virginia Johnson, Elizabeth Hill, J acquelynn Haitman, Sharon Huff, Pat O'Connor, Linda Pelayo, Baiba Skrivelis and Elizabeth Ricica. This library staff helps Miss Schindler put the books in their right order on the shelves, check in and out books, keep the magazine table and rack neat and check the Encyclope- dias every night. All duties in the library rotate every , fifth week. Helpers can select new titles ofbooks for next year and they soon learn to use the card catolog in a very efficient manner. CENTRAUS BAND Holly Manning Centralls Band is one to be proud of under the direction of one of SaginaW's finest band directors Mr. Kenneth Mathews. They have proved themselves a competent group. Some of the years activities included marching in the Memorial Day parade and participatingin the Band Drama on May 27. The Band is divided into nine sections. They areg the flute section, trumpet section, saxo- phone section, clarinet section, horn section, trombone section, baritone section, bass sec- tion and the drum section. The flute section includes Geoffrey Smith, Ann Muellerweiss, Sally Barnes, Louene Ahl- gren and Deane Sodeman. The trumpet players are Luis Castellanos, Paul Horton, Clyde Braman, Robert Lilly, Sherrol Cross, Cynthia Riser, Dewey Bertram, Bette McClellan, Louise Kartz, Kenneth Svrc- ina, Albert Gulliver, Grace Van Horn and Mirta de los Santos. Those in the horn section are Jerry Ulrey Nina Bowman, Gladys Laurette,Emma Flores, Bob Gamez, Carol Pitsch and Joe Hernandez. In the trombone section are Eldon Lake, Frank Miller, Greg Barris, Janet Taylor, Bill Cymbol and Doug Eads. In the baritone section are HollylVlanning, Mary Caballero,Kay Fager and Pat Habina. The bass players include Gary Weiravch, Micheal Morrison, Bill Murlick, BobNovak, Leroy Daniel, Wayne Hahn and Thomasfles- selaitis. This Advanced Band is made upfof Hfty- five ninth graders, thirteen eighth graders and one seventh grader. FAREWELL CENTRAL by Mary Ann McGregor F-riends we made at Central.
