Section 9-14 Section 9-14, a home economics and shop section, while not on top scholastically, always displayed fine school spirit. The president for both semesters was Shirley Fries, while Norton Scheetz served as vice-president for two semes- ters. Joyce Schaffer was chosen secretary for the Hrst semester and Valerie Borelli for the second semester. Valerie Borelli was Central's head cheerleader. Two of the members of the class boasted membership in the Order ol Light. . Sechon 9-l5 Janet Ogier was the first to be a member ol the Order of Light. This section has been musically inclined. More than half of the members are in one or more singing organiz- ations with Shirley Leiby as one of the soloists. 'l'l1l'6C are in the band. One of the orchestra members, Vincent Minnich, a violinist, was in both the Eastern District and State Orchestras. YVillian1 Montgomery has been active as a manager of both the football and basketball teams, and Thomas Towich was a member ol' the baseball team. 9-15 has striven to main- tain a record ol' ninety percent or more in the sale of Defense Stamps each week.
