DHAMATICS CLUB At the organization meeting of the French Club the following officers were elected for the year President, Mary Clarke, Vice President, Virginia Reilly, Secretary, Dorothy Kadlec, Advisor, Miss Hammill Because of the irregularity of mail from Europe this year the members wrote to French students in Canada instead of in France The Club appeared in two programs during the year, the Christ mass Assembly and the Clubs Assembly The members are looking forward to the annual excursion to a French movie or to a French restaurant ooaoeoooooooooooouoo In December, the Dramatics Club started its fifth electing Dorothy Kadlec as President, Elinore Bauer as William Humphrey as Secretary Treasurer We sponsored a Chicken raffle in January to raise our trip to New York City after Easter vacation to see production The raffle proved to be very successful also sponsored a moving picture in April All 50 members are looking forward to our trip to year by Vice President, funds for a Broadway The Club New York LE CERCLE FRANCAIS

BOARD OF CONTROL Officers President Paul Fazio Vice Presldent Mary Clarke Secretary Virglnia Reilly Treasurer Hu h Powers Faculty Advlsor LHQIQS F Lonergan Representatives From Homerooms Anthony Fuori Ernest Houck Robert Miller Harold Smith Floyd Swaine Margaret Houck Harold Greenberg Kathleen Power Presidents of the Classes Freshman John Shaughnessy Sophomore Patrlck Lysaght Junior Christina Farrell Senior Thomas Shaughnessy The Student Organization Board of Control held its f1rSt meeting for the vear 1941 42 on September 15 The new officers, class presidents, and homeroom representatives ttended this meeting The Board of Control accomplished many things during this school year The price of the S O ticket remained the same as last year, 254 and Sl 10 including tax, for athletlc tickets The nenbe ship ticket entitled each student to attend free four paid assemblies which were picked out by the Board of Control and two full length moving pictures chosen by a vote of the student body The athletic ticket entitled each student to attend all home basketoall games free, and ent tleq them to a reduction of 151 per game for all out of town games A new Student Reception Committee was appointed to receive all the visiting teams, to usher at home basketball games, and to show people around our school The Board Qf Control took care of the advertising for the basketball games, bought many new records, made new awards, and selected the assemblies for rext year, besides devlsing a budget for the coming year The President and Vice President of the Student Organization were members of the sports manship club, which contained me bers from the different schools In all, under the able leadership of Paul Fazio with the guidarce of Mr Lonergan and with the cooperatidn of the students, the Board of Control has made the Student Organization an effective government w 1 W gf , ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' Y ' 0 f'1' . , , , .. o Q J o 5 I . n -.- . , I , e o Y 0 n . The Officers Libr ry Club started with a meeting in the e rly part of September were elected as follows President Elinore Bauer Vice President Mary Clarne Secret ry Frances Devine Treasurer Anna Burke big feature of the year was the 'Heading Contest' sponsored by the the Grade School The Sixth Grade won the contest and was given a The club for were shown The club is under the supervision of Miss Patricia A Golden lliiiiifiiiiiilliili The Home Economics Club began in the early part of September Its ad visor is Mrs Balding, Home Economics teacher The first meeting was devoted to the election of officers They are as follows President Theresa Thorogood Vice Pre ldent Juanita Perez Secretary Isabella Henry Treasurer Dorothy Bauer At the second meeting the girls decided to bring to the club meeting something on which to sew They also planned a Christmas party During the second semester the girls made layettes for the Junior Red Cross As the highlight of the year the girls had a great social event, a St Patr1ck's Day party to which each girl brought an escort The girls feel that this year their Home Economics Club has been a very successful venture L1BRARY CLUB HOME ECONOMICS CLUB party as a prize. Another big feature was WBook Week' in which many new books
