THE SENIOR PLA! On November 14, 1941 the Senior Class presented their annual Senior Play It was entitled nYours Truly Willie ' It was the story of a typical American Family, The Phlfers, and what happens when Bob Phifer KPaul Fazlol suggests giving a radio broadcast to celebrate Willie lWalter Smith! birthday The idea is readily accepted by Mr Phlferf Dennis O'KeefeJ and Mrs Phlfer CDorothy Kadlechwhg start making plans for the big celebration The plans for the bro dcast do not keep Cupid from working for love still per slets between Wlllle and Virginia Lesile CHazel Hearll, Bob and Evel n Harris CMary Murphyl, Grace Phifer iMary Glerkel, and Hugh Knox Kwilliam Humphrey The broadcast is kept running smoothly by the announcer, Graham Prescott CErnest Houck! but in the midst of everything Willie comes in choking He ha swallowed a collar button When Willie ls revived and things calm down the broadcast is over, and the audience is weak from laughing Everything ends happily for everyone The brordcast is a huge success for the audience thought the collar button episode to be part of the program, Graham P Prescott receives a new contract, Nr Ph1fer's business is increased and love con quers all as far P the young people are concerned The entire cast turned in superb performances and their naturalnese and smooth ness of presentation reflect a great deal of credit on Mies Sullivan who directed the play It will be many years before the audience will forget the Senior Quartette of Dorothy Kadlec, Doris McCrone, Audrey Lindquist, and Mary Murphy, which Sans its way into the hearts of the audience, and many more years before they forget our Senior Play, 'Yours Truly Willie ' J Everything goes well until the night of the broadcast. Willie cannot be found.
