He finished first in every meet for Central-Hower and his average time was 11:30. Gridiron Battles Every Step Of The Way v .su wff IP, , ,af Football at C-H was not a top year for the Eagles in 1974. Marked by hampering injuries and not enough personnel, the team found itself in a revamping year. A month before the first game, Forge Field was invaded by approximately 50 men seeking positions on this year's squad. For many hours a day these men lived football. They exercised, scrimmaged, ran and if there was extra time, ex- ercised some more.
