t VICA Vleets The Challenge PARLIAMENTARY PROCEDURE TEAM-Seated: M. Hammett, M. Carter, B. Zwisler, C. Harmon, L. Kelley. Standing: R. Weitzel, M. Vukich, B. Wortman, C. Campbell, T. Murray, M. Shenigo. The VICA regional competition was held March 15 at Mahoning Trade School in Canfield, Ohio. Representatives were Chris Campbell in the extemporaneous speaking competi- tion, Pietro Ricchurti from sheet metal, Mark Kuzmik from carpentry, Theresa Swisler from dental assisting, and Charles Stroup competing in machine drafting. Each representative was placed in a situa- tion, unknown to him or her, that was covered by their trade area. The extemporaneous speaker was given a subject with a given time for arranging his speech, then asked to give it. The parliamentary procedure team held a business meeting, straightened out a gar- bled agenda, made motions and amendments, and did all the processes of a formal meeting.
