Olympics Arouse Candy Sellers The 1975 winter Olympics were brought to Central-Hower on Tuesday, February 11. The lighting of the torch by track star Howard Harris touched off the assembly. Guys and gals from every grade level used their talents to give the student body an excellent performance, and at the same time en- couraged them to sell as much candy as possible. MC Garvin Brown in- troduced the various acts which included a soccer match, basketball drill, gymnastics meet, words from your sponsors tcommercialsl, and a number of songs played by a faculty combo. Proceeds from the sale were distributed among spring sports, student council, choir, and band. Cash prizes worth S215 were awarded to the top twenty-five salesmen of The World's Finest Chocolates. The assembly was under the direction of Mrs. Florence Hull.

1975 Art Awards Winning two awards at the annual Art Show at O'Neil's in February were Andy Gray and Tony Curry who both received gold keys and blue ribbons.
