The Spirit Of C-H Hardworking, spirited and enthusiastic are what the cheerleaders at our school represent. In the spring of each year the senior cheerleaders begin their training program for prospective cheerleaders. After two weeks of hard practice, tryouts are held and six varsity and six junior varsity are chosen. The cheerleaders practice two hours a day, five days a week in the summer, and for 1V2 hours everyday after school. In addition to the practices, cheering at games, planning pep assemblies, decorating the gym, and sparking school spirit and pride are some of the duties ofa Central-Hower cheerleader. The girls must also maintain a C average. Mrs. Jennifer Waltemate is the advisor, and she feels that dedication is the number one quality a cheerleader should have.
