? Love ls . . Togetherness The 1974 Homecoming was highlighted on October 10 by a football game at the Rubber Bowl, between the Central- Hower Eagles and South's Big Blue. The court was presented to the student body at half-time. On Saturday night, October 12, a rainbow of crepe decorations transformed the Hower gym into a romantic setting for the dance. Love ls .... , the theme for the Homecoming, was represented by posters and table decorations bearing the two familiar figures of the Love Is cartoon. The night included dancing to the music of the Carl Michael Orchestra, and a door-prize drawing for a stereo. Senior Nancy Goins was announced as homecom- ing queen, and Senior Margo Shamberger as crowner, Other members on the court were seniors: Vicki Elzholz, Cindy Johnson, and Cindy Mooney, juniors: Robin Baker, Cheryl Harmon, Sandy Myers, Dawn Nelson, and Brenda Riley, and sophomores: Phyllis Alexander, LaShawn John- son, and Pat Vorhees. Chairman of the dance, Theresa Davis, with help from Booster Club members made Homecoming a great success. 12 ACTIVITIES -all Queen Nancy Goins Crowner Margo Shamberger N Q v I If Senior Attendants Vicki Elzholz Cindy Johnson Cindy Mooney - --Q-hr ,fi
