A CLAU msronv The flag ship of Cenlral-'s Heel, fhe Senior Class, is sailing safely info port A+ 'the beginning of i+'s voyage in 1936 we chose our caprain, Bob Swansfrom, his crew, John Grandy, Mary Louise Flynn, Margarel Miller, and our Adviser, Miss Bede. So well did They man our vessel fhal' we chose +hem again in I937 and I938, aided in The laiier year by Roberl' Kanerva. As we weighed anchor rhe firsl' year of our voyage we gol under way wiih several inferesfing meefings. By our second year we were under full sail. We had five successful dances, including rhe Junior-Senior Prom and ihe popular Commence- menf Dance. A+ Chrisfmas our class presenred a religious play en'ri+led The Gift Many of lhe boys made names for Themselves in ihe field of alhlefics. ln Seprember, I938, we began 'rhe homeward voyage. A+ porf we slopped and fhere enjoyed l'he rradiiional Auciion in November, wilh Harrier Sleepack and Fred Knighf as our chairmen. We gave several dances, one of +he mos? enjoyable of which was rhe Presiden'r's Ball ai' Chrisfmas lime. Over our Homecoming game and dance reigned our queen, Elaine Dahl. As our voyage drew 'ro a close we were guesls of fhe good ship Junior Class a+ 'rhe Junior-Senior Prom, and also, we pre- senred our Senior Class Play, The Swan, by Molnar. Wifh happy memories of our cruise we now lie a+ anchor, awaifing +he lender which will +ake us +o 'rhe shore.
