7 EF. Assistant principal, Mr. Phillips, inspires many a lagging boy to hard work or regular attendance by his kindly advice. Whether it be in a case of discipline, an organization problem, or an athletic policy, we can be sure to get the right solution from him. Although few of us ever realize the countless details he deals with each day managing athletic funds, as dean of boys, and most of all as assistant principal, we know we like to think of him as Phil -a friend of ours. As dean of girls, Mrs. Benson, is constantly bringing Central new ideas for entertainment and constructive planning. Much of the school's social life originates from her office, culminating in the programs, dances, and Carnivals we enjoy so often. Under Mrs. Benson's direction, the Girls' Club has become the schools' most active large organization. We thank her for the understanding she has for us. 12
