Some of us will graduate, others will separate and go to new South High or Central. Our athletic teams will be competing against each other next year, but this last year really proved great. The Central Wildcats were the South Central League Champions and near state champions. We defeated every South Central League team by playing tough and skillfully. Our only near loss was East Denver which ended in a tie, 20-20. In the semi-finals the Wildcats beat Greeley and cinched their position for the State Champ lonshlp game On November 29 ten buses left Pueblo cauy mg, members of the band pep club and student body They were tense and excited as they await ed the opportunity to cheer then team on to victory The scoreboard that day may have determined who received the trophy for the Championship but spectators and Central s followers commented then and for a long time afterwards that Central had the Championship team The good luck Just wasnt lll our favor That game proved not only how good oui foot ball team was but it showed our terlific sports manship For yeals to come Centlalites will look back on that game and all the othei games that the 1959 Wildcat team won Thanks bovs for that wondelful memoiy Casteel Leonaid Wlav Jim Rex nolds Harold Stimgel Ronnie DeLeon Ji 'FF MJ , .. - . The printing department plays an act- ive and major role in publications. It is the final factor in the turning out of the Times, Central's school paper. The de- partment also prints all programs for pro- ductions, and athletic events, and does linotyping for the district. The layout of the annual is worked on by journalism in conjunction with the art department. The O'Brien Printing and Stationery Co. works side by side with the Wildcat Staff to bring about the printing of the Wildcat.
