LEMUEL PITTS, Principal An Appreciation Centered in our high school memories will be the personality of our Principal and friend, Mr. Pitts. The WILDCAT staff voices for students, alumni, and faculty an appreciation for his years of devoted service to our community. It is not by accident that Central has come to hold an enviable place among the high schools of the state in athletic and scholastic achievement. The richness of our cur- riculum and the high standards maintained in the teaching of it are largely due to the cultured background and the educational foresight of our Principal, Mr. Lemuel Pitts. The wisest man could ask no more of fate Than to be simple, modest, manly, true- Safe from the many, honored by the few, Nothing to court in church or world or state, But inwardly in secret to be great. -Lowell.
