Then in the sum- mer, some students attend a yearbook workshop at Missouri University and bring back new ideas , to help improve the quality of the Wakitan. Languages promote international feeling Taking one of the four foreign language courses at Central makes it possible to learn more about international neighbors and how to converse with them. French, German, Latin, and Spanish instruc- tors teach their students the fundamentals of the languages, such as grammar, vocabulary, and verb forms. By listening to tapes and then re- peating words and phrases, students learn correct pronunciation. Pieces of literature reveal facts about cultural aspects of the country. French and Spanish students have clubs, and all the language courses except German have annual banquets for the students. A new Spanish III class enlarged the language department this year.
