With a knowledge of results of past deci- sions and famous experiences, one learns to make Wise decisions for the future. Importance of social studies is shown in that it is required for students all four years at Central. Freshmen take civics and advanced Freshmen take ancient history. Sophomores take World history, and modern and contemporary history is offered for the honor students. Juniors take United States history or American history. Seniors may choose from a Wide variety of courses: economics, govern- ment, or international relations. The peace and prosperity of our great nation hinges on the determination of its people. Their education is a great factor in determining their decisions. Their decisions contribute to the Wel- fare of mankind all over the World. Mr. Ranner uses a map to illustrate the 'extent of Caesar's Empire to his eager Sophomore ancient history students.
