To Central's many avid young readers the library is a haven of enjoyment. Magazines, books, and refer- ente materials are readily available to those who want to do outside pleasure reading. Biographies and histories are provided for social science students to enable them to prepare the best possible reports, A large selection ot' natural science books is kept for health, biology, and general science classes so that they may better visu- alize diagrams and charts, lior those who enjoy straight fiction the library has no end. Stories range from the earliest lfnglish novel to Zane Grey's IejJL'I',f of llae Pl'1l'!7fL Si,:!Qe. The library stall. composed of able young Central- ites, binds worn books, sends notices for overdue cards, checks and issues books, and in general keeps the library in smooth running order, Carrie McGaughy and Peggy Conrad receive literary assistance from jean and judy Bonham. Every student must be able to find a vocation which will make him happy, which will enable him to use his talents to the fullest, and which will help him to succeed. Central High School oflers a program which is well adapted to the needs and interests of the students. Through Hillyards Vocational School, boys can learn about auto mechanics, radio and television repair, and printing. Co-operative Occupational Education QCOED affords the chance for students to learn and master salesmanship both in school and on the job. These courses provide a proving ground for future years of clerical and mechanical occupations. Judy Frazier. a C. O.
