THESE ARE THE . . . . . . STUDENTS If the Central stairs could speak, the complete personal history of almost every Central student, perhaps, would be revealed. Every day, the stu- dents gather under these familiar places to dis- cuss problems, to tell jokes, and to relate their good and bad fortunes in studies or in social life. In fact, almost everything that is on a person's mind is discussed here sooner or later. In performing their basic task, conveying the students from floor to floor and from class to class, the stairs carry these students through their years in Central toward success. This is why, then, the stairs are landmarks- landmarks that truly represent the student body. 1 .L Q E, pl W l l X Q iii- I- f EJ 1 , J 71 ' I -. .J Hlfla'-9 P 3241- 4-I-f-1-Llid -Tie -Q-In F -9 - Milf. But these students have proved very active in other activities as well, for five of them became members of the National Honor Society in their junior year. This, added with other activities such as sports and art, has shown that brains coupled with versatility promotes suc- cess in school. Page 18
