Time passes swiftly and last-minute an- nouncements on the bulletin board catch the attention of busy seniors-last date for Wakitan pictures?-order announce- ments nowl- money for graduation robes due this week! The end of four years of work comes quickly, with a maximum of events to cover, themes to hand in, and meetings to attend. The senior year has been the climax of four busy years for the class of '56. As freshmen, the class originated class as- semblies at Central with a story of the flaming twenties. L a sophomore class as- sembly turned Central's stage into a French night club. This year the Senior Melodrama was presented, a highly suc- cessful new type of Senior Variety Show, composed of an old-fashioned melodrama, Page Curse You, Jack Dalton, and a fine ar- ray of talent before and after the show. As their junior class project, the class put on a colorful Junior-Senior Prom, in Candyland g this year the class, under the sponsorship of Miss Lemmon and Miss Marechal, gave the school, an amplifier system and four baby spotlights for the auditorium. Members of the class have been promi- nent through scholastic ability, drama, art, music, athletics, R. O. T. C., and student government, and all have worked to make the four years at Central memorable. With four successful and busy years be- hind them, the class must now look to the future and their place in tomorrow. - I9
