Gnu' Aflwzua MRS. GRAHAM Most students are unaware of all the various jobs and duties of our vice-principal, Mr. Wen- dell Wilson. Naturally the first job to come in- to mind is that of assisting the principal. But that is only the beginning. Being Centra1's business manager, Mr. Wil- son works closely with the Board of Education in setting up Va school budget and managing finances. Also he is responsible for arranging all athletic eventshand scheduling trips for the teams. In the role of Adviser to Boys, he offers words of advice and encouragement to students who come to him for help in solving their prob- lems. A As disciplinarian, Mr. Wilson must see to it that the school regulations are firmly enforced. For this he has truly earned the admiration and respect of both the faculty and the stu- dents. To top it all off, he is kept quite busy-by a large psychology class. Page 10 Nha Tj-Gy X 1 , l,:,,,'.,. Patience, understanding, and a wonderful sense of humor-these words immediately bring to mind Mrs. Dorothy Graham, Dean of Girls. Taking over the job of Counselor when Miss Carolyn Steel left Central at the end of last year, Mrs, Graham quickly endeared her- self to all of Central's students. ' As sponsor of the Student Council and head of the Dramatics Department, she found she had her hands quite full. Students who work with ,her in the office, in the student govern- ment, and in the dramatics classes will never cease to marvel at her unhurried efficiency. No matter how busy she may be, she always has time to lend an understanding and sym- pathetic ear to any bewildered or troubled stu- dent. Frequently her words of advice and en- couragement have helped to transform Central from a cold and frightening structure into something warm and friendly in the minds of many students.
