May the hopes, the ideals, the inspirf ations of those brave people live on in the youths of today, that they, too, may accomplish great things. C . pomzx orep The golden strand of years at Central Has woven itself into the fabric of our lives Making a design of rare strength and beauty. The hours spent in these halls were happy hoursg We've worked and played, and, seeking knowledge, Have learned to meet success and failure,, To keep on striving for what we know is right. Our task here is finished and we must leave. Others will carry on the work and win success As we have done. We shall go out into the world Where the light is much more diflicult. Friendships formed in high school will help Us as we struggle up the lonely road to fame. We leave this Wakitan, a record of all our deeds, A written proof of our achievements, as the reminder To all of the class of nineteen twenty-six. The memory of all the days at Central Wfill spur us on to greater things, And woven by the golden cord deep into our hearts, Will remain there unchanged and unmarrid ailiways. - . .
