.,, 33' Qin M41 Floppy hats, crazy ties, door decorations, red and white, all joined together to help the classes compete for the Spirit Drum. We became fired up and ready as we showed our spirit at the bon fire. Coach Harper's sophomore first hour class won the door decoration contest with the motto, Eagles make good chicken soup. Spirited senior guys joined the cheerleaders as they cheered for the Varsity Braves. The guys competing for Mr. Spirit were Pat Shackelford, Reg Freemyer, Andy Roberts, Brick Ayola, Marlin Garret, Dale Lunsford James Dobbs, and Jerry Johnson. They cheered at the bon fire, the pep rally, and the game, Jars were passed to collect money and votes were determined at a penny a vote. Spirit Week ended with the announcement that Marlin Garrett was Mr. Spirit. We got spirit, yes we do, we got spirit, how 'bout you? 27
