Hliain in pain Charm Audience Working long hours, the Cast of the senior class play often practiced far into the night striving to reach perfection in the production of George Bernard Shawls Pygmalion. The combination of efforts of the cast and the pa- tience of the director, Mrs. Iona Freeman, marked the beginning of an excellent produc- tion to be viewed by Tulsans. Eliza Doolittle, a common gutter snipe por- trayed by Pilar Garcia, met the fine gentle- man, Professor Henry Higgins, played by Ioe Bratcher. Professor Higgins accepted a bet from Colonel Pickering, Chris Teenor, that he could not refine Eliza and transform her into a lady that would pass as royalty at the ball given by the Swedish Ambassador. Acclaiming the merits of Pygmalion was Norris Deskin, drama critic of the Tulsa Trib- ---f......,,., une, who said, Central,s cast is as polished a group as I have seen in one show.
